Diamond Children's Pediatric Nephrology Program is devoted to diagnosing, treating and managing disorders affecting the kidneys and urinary tract, including acute and chronic kidney failure, high blood pressure, inherited kidney diseases, congenital kidney disorders, kidney stones, urinary tract infections and abnormalities in the urine such as blood and protein. Our experts also evaluate and manage problems with growth and development specifically related to chronic kidney disease.


Our staff has special expertise in:

  • Medical management of renal transplant, including pre- and post-transplant care
  • Acute and chronic glomerulonephritis
  • Hypertension, renal tubular disorders and congenital renal diseases
  • Hematuria, proteinuria and urinary tract infections
  • Genetic and systemic conditions that have renal involvement

Our outstanding clinical care includes:

  • Acute and chronic hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis
  • Continuous renal replacement therapies
  • Kidney transplantation
  • Kidney biopsies in conjunction with the pediatric interventional radiology service
